Principal Activities and General Information.
The Aims and Objectives of Malaysian Gurdwaras Council (M.G.C) consist of the following:
- To act as a representative of all the Gurdwaras in Malaysia.
- To represent the Sikh Community in Malaysia, on all matters pursuant to the Constitution under the M.G.C clause 3.18
- To serve as a central forum to promote religious, cultural, social, educational and economic interest of the Sikhs
- To safeguard the interest of all Sikhs in Malaysia.
- To propagate the Sikh religion amongst the Sikh Community
- To organise religious and social functions
- To create affection, concord and friendship amongst members of the Sikh Community and the General public
- To protect the religious rights of members of the society and Sikhs in general
- To develop and maintain the Gurdwaras and any other property used for the purpose of worship and fellowship
- To co-operate and assist any other society or group with similar objectives
- To own, develop and dispose immovable property as provided under rule 15 of the Gurdwara’s rules
